Electronic Maintenance Release with RAAS

The idea of collecting compliance information and collectively printing it on paper or labels, with a signature block for aircraft release, is certainly not new.  What is new are software solutions that allow a user to input e-signed compliance information, guide the user as to which compliance records should be included in a release, allow the user to e-sign the release, and then have the release details electronically delivered to the cockpit.

The steps described above are intrinsic to most aircraft release procedures, and with the advent of e-signing, it has become entirely feasible to perform end-to-end release generation in software solutions without the need for a wet-ink signature or the need to retain paper-based copies.  RAAS of course offers these features as part of the broader RAAS paperless workflow suite.

When it comes to release generation specifically, RAAS differentiates itself by allowing multiple signing workflows, such as the signing of a completed work package or signing of individual standalone tasks, and allowing users to mix different signing types in a release.  Beyond the mechanics of generating a release, RAAS also persistently promotes the concept of delivering release details to the cockpit electronically, either through integration with an existing EFB or through the RAAS Electronic Maintenance Log app.
